THOMAS LARKIN O'CONNOR
AUGUST 18,1930 -APRIL 1ST, 2009
Tom was born in Cornation, Alberta and spent his whole life in the province of Alberta going to school in Calgary and where he also attended Mount Royal College and SAIT before joining his father in the farming and ranching business while he studied accounting.
Tom became an accountant and lived a full life, bringing up his family, teaching swimming , attending the Kinsmen Club and also was involved with the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede as Chairman of the Youth Activities Committee.
Tom retired to his farm Brocaire where he lived for thirty years and also attended to his Bull Terrier Kennel of the same name.
Tom was passionate about raising dogs to be family companions and he spent many years dedicating himself to rescuing those bull terriers in distress and finding loving homes for these bull terriers.
He also taught dog obedience classes and mentored new breeding kennels.
Tom's wife Judy has kindly donated many of the items for sale for this spring auction and also the books that were Tom's over the years he handled and cared for the bull terrier breed.
I think Tom would be very happy to know his treasures will raise funds to help many other poeple who are dedicated to finding loving homes for bull terriers in need.

Text is illustrate with numerous b&w photographs of dogs. Bound in dark blue cloth covers 11 1/4" tall with bright gilt titles on the front and spine. The book is clean, unmarked apart from the author"s signature on the title page - "Raymond Oppenheimer 18/11/78 COME AND SEE US AGAIN SOON -R". The dust cover has rips and folds, not in the best shape but the book is in excellent shape . tight spine Signed by Author
